Beliefs & Mission

We are a small but growing congregation of Jesus' people who seek to be a church like Jesus. We want to obey God (I Jno. 5:2-3); love one another (Jno. 15:34); and share God's word with as many others as possible (Matt. 28:19f).

We hold God's word, the Bible, to be our supreme authority for belief and practice. Among many other teachings, we believe that Jesus is God's Son who died for us, was buried, and rose on the third day (I Cor. 15:3f), and that the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity who is given to those who obey God (Acts 5:32).

We believe that each congregation of the Lord's church is autonomous, the members serving under the oversight of the local elders. Becoming a member of the Lord's church is a process that includes: Hearing the word--Rom. 10:17; Believing the message--Mk. 16:16; Confessing Jesus as Lord--Rom. 10:9f; Repenting--Acts 2:38; Being baptized--Acts 22:16; and Living faithfully--Rev. 2:10.

We also believe that each member of the Lord's church has been given talents, resources, gifts, and abilities, and that God wants each member using those gifts to build up the body and to glorify him (I Cor. 12:7; Jno. 15:8; Phil. 1:11).

Our mission is best summarized as follows:

Obey God. Love one another. Spread the Word.
